Laura Ingraham hosted Andy Williams on how Obama is destroying America, and his new book Moon River & Me: A Memoir.
Williams said it took him a year to write his book. He spent time with astronaut and Senator John Glenn. He started singing with his brothers when he was seven years old and he sang on the radio until the group broke up when he was 22. He struggled and then got his break on Steve Allen's "Tonight Show" which became a regular gig. He got along very well with Frank Sinatra and he lived down the street from Sinatra for a time. He would see the Rat Pack in Vegas. He has recently released a new holiday CD - and he's always included religious music in his repertoire as he sang in a choir as a youth.
He said it is easier today than in previous years - and he loved doing his Christmas specials. He said Michael Jackson was very talented and he also made an album with Quincy Jones. He knew the Reagans and Bushes fairly well and was shocked by President Reagan's praise of him. He was a delegate for Bobby Kennedy and while he was usually voting as a Republican, he voted for the candidate.
