Laura Ingraham hosted Liz Cheney on the mystery CIA program that is outraging Congressional Democrats..
Cheney said that this whole uproar is a combination of political conniving and a different philosophy on national security. She noted this is why people tend not to trust the Democrats on keeping America safe.
Cheney said that this and many other issues makes people wonder how much control President Obama really has of his own party with disarray breaking out on health care, the stimulus, etc..
Cheney said she has no idea if a Truth Commission will ensue based on this CIA allegation, but that it would be very damaging to the country and set a bad precedent - and that Obama has said he wants to look forward. She noted that the Constitution dictates that the president is the chief law enforcement officer and so it remains to be seen what will happen.
Cheney said her father is concerned about Obama airing the details of the Bush's enhanced interrogation techniques and also revealing what the CIA did during the Bush years potentially being prosecuted.
Cheney feels Obama has been naive and not too effective on foreign affairs and his ideas about reducing nuclear arms and talking down America have diminished our image abroad.
