Laura Ingraham guest hosted "The O'Reilly Factor" on July 10th. Ingraham's "Talking Points Memo" focused on President Obama's meeting with Pope Benedict XVI and the left-wing Catholic politicians and press's attempts to re-interprpret Catholic teachings on bioethics to serve their purposes.
Ingraham then spoke to Democratic strategist Matthew Littman and GOP strategist Cheri Jacobus cus about President Obama's falling approval ratings.
Ingraham talked to Steven Clark about giving terrorists extensive constitutional rights of defense. Clark argued essentially that terrorists should be given the full spectrum of rights that criminals in the US receive while Ingraham argued that enemy combatants are entitled to a fair trial, but not the full array of rights as the Obama Justice Department seems prepared to offer terrorists.
Ingraham spoke to journalist Jane Hall about the saturation coverage of Michael Jackson by the media. Both agreed the doverage was over the top to the point of semi-deification and that more probing questions and balance was needed.
Pro-life activist Lila Rose and Alabama attorney general Troy King joined Ingraham to discuss the disturbing undercover work Rose has done in which she posed as an underage girl seeking an abortion without parental consent and claiming she had been impregnated by a 31 year old partner. King and Rose explained that this has been a pattern at such facilities as Planned Parenthood and was exploitive and abusive of the young girls' rights.
Ingraham talked to the Washington Post's Sally Quinn about a column Quinn wrote that was critical of Governor Sarah Palin's parenting, noting that she felt Palin would have received a less negative reception to her resignation as governor if she emphasized that she was doing it to spend more time with her children, especially her son with special needs while Ingraham argued that women have a number of reasons for the choices they make and asked Quinn if she would have made the same assertions if the woman had been a liberal minority group member.
Ingraham talked to terror specialist Steve Emerson about a disturbing YouTube video in which the Statue of Liberty is beheaded. He said that while this video wasn't ominous or from a terror group, that there is a very real problem in the US, especially in the prisons with al-Qaeda and other terror groups doing heavy recruiting. Both discussed the disturbing murder of William Long at an Army recruiting center by an American al-Qaeda style recruit who went to Yemen and came back radicalized further and unapologetically murdered Long.
