Laura Ingraham hosted Chris Horner at Competitive Enterprise Institute.
Horner said that cap and trade aren't about climate and the GOP shouldn't be afraid to talk about the bogus science. He said that a lot of these efforts go to big green business efforts - via our tax dollars. Ingraham noted that no one has read this bill and people will be asking a decade down the road. He said a few Republicans who are getting coerced into this bill while there are some Democrats who aren't going along with it all. He said that this bill will force us to lose jobs, especially those that are energy intensive. Ingraham said that there are multiple nanny state provisions in this bill.
Horner said that appliance sales people, Enron type companies are pushing this so their products will be sold here - and made in China.
The Climate Change Climate Change by Kim Strassel
Our only hope now is that the Senate will not pass the cap and trade bill. Unfortunately, I live in Massachusetts and my rep is Edward Markey, so it was useless to call him and ask him to vote against it since he was its co-sponsor. But I did call one of his local offices and told one of his aides what I thought of it..................a pack of lies. Then told him to read the Wall Street Journal article in today's paper by Kim Strassel. Asked him to have Markey read it and get back to me with his comment. I won't hold my breath.
