Laura Ingraham hosted Dr. John Eastman of Chapman University School of Law.
Eastman said Sotomayor is hostile to business, despite claims to the otherwise. He noted the empathy angle that Obama has played up - and that puts a thumb on the scale - which isn't the role of a judge. He said that after the Kelo decision on eminent domain where Sotomayor wrote a short shrift opinion on a follow up case to this. This was not equal treatment of the litigant.
Eastman said that the New Haven firefighters case will be another sticky case for Sotomayor to explain as she again gave short shrift to important constitutional issues in this case.
Eastman said he doesn't know if some of these cases are anomolies and is glad the GOP isn't rolling over and saying they will vote for her while Ingraham indicated she isn't so sure on that count - that the GOP senators are nervous about challenging her.
