Civilian deaths imperil support for Afghan war from the New York Times reports that President Obama, who has claimed that we took the eye off the ball by not finishing off the job in Afghanistan, is now getting blowback for raids and civilian deaths there.
The reports offered a grim backdrop to talks on Wednesday in Washington between President Obama and President Hamid Karzai of Afghanistan, whose office called the civilian deaths “unjustifiable and unacceptable.”
