Laura Ingraham hosted Toby Harnden, US editor of The Daily Telegraph of London, with the British perspective on President Obama's visit.
Harden said that while Michelle Obama putting her hand on the Queen got a return touch from the Queen. Harden agreed with Ingraham that if it were any other person - especially a conservative - there would be a very different reaction. Ingraham said that the iPod gift once again showed the chintzy nature of the Obamas. He noted that Obama tried to compliment Britain quite a bit to cover his poor treatment of Gordon Brown when he came to the US.
Harden doesn't see anything significant coming forth from the G20 summit. He said there will be a low common denominator communique from the group. He said Obama, to stay popular, may give in to the Europeans on a few things. He said that Obama also represent the US who has been unpopular due to the global recesion, despite his personal popularity.
