Specter shift puts Dems near filibuster-proof mark proves that pigs fly - or as the GOP were e-mailing, swine flew, Senator Arlen Specter who was a Democrat before he was a Republican, is now back as a Democrat.
Apparently according to Andrea Mitchell who covered Specter back in his political salad days, this was a Governor Ed Rendell-VP Joe Biden back room deal - which may help ultimately Rendell's wife snag a Supreme Court seat. Mr. Rendell can't run again for governor - but after backing Hillary Clinton in the primaries, he's burnished his image with the Obama administration by helping to deliver a filibuster proof Senate, potentially. Of course, there are some inconvenient people like Congressman Joe Sestak, a former admiral, who has to be thrown under the bus - much as many people were when Hillary Clinton ran in New York.
Looks like everyone is looking out for Number One - and it isn't the voters...

Spector is a true polotition, he is 79 years old and still not wanting to give up his seat maybe the american people will wake up and vote people like him out of office. This country is in a sad state they proved it on November 4th. Hopefully are grand kids will survive the future because most of us will be broke by the time people like spector get done with us.
