The "Ingraham Angle" with Laura Ingraham on "The O'Reilly Factor" focused on the hundreds of tea parties that took place throughout the nation in every state on tax day, April 15th.
Ingraham noted that this was an organic movement, not organized by a political party, talk radio or the media and represented the frustration that people are feeling over a range of issues - excessive government spending, bailouts, interference in people's lives, etc.. Both O'Reilly and Ingraham noted the condescending coverage from a correspondent on CNN who abruptly dissed a participant as he tried to describe his reasons for attending the tea party. Ingraham noted htat if this had been a cause near and dear to the the media's hearts, participants would have been treated with respect and deference and not with condescending attitudes.
Ingraham noted that she dropped in at the Washington DC tea party at Lafayette Park across from the White House which was attended by about a thousand people whom she said were fired up and active, despite the weather.
