Laura Ingraham hosted George Will on Obama's evolved opinion on earmarks.
Will said Obama's position on signing statements is problematic vis-a-vis the Constitution. Will said that conservatives appreciate that society is complicated and that while Obama was out campaigning with little experience, he didn't learn how complicated government is - and it is that way to keep things safe. Will said that the line between the public and private sector has been erased and that wealth is being transferred from the successful to the unsuccessful - and taking money from the rising generation to the elderly. Will said that the liberals are waking up to the fact that the rich pay so many of the taxes don't have as much wealth any more to pay out in taxes.
Ingraham said that Will's column on how people and institutions are too big to fail is a fallacy. He said that if things are too big to fail, they are too big period and should be broken down. Will said that all sense of restraint is passing when the money supply increases at this pace - and that the markets need to work through this all.
