Laura Ingraham hosted Obama=Lincoln? Ron White argues in favor of the similarities. Steve Hayward says it's time to put down the Kool Aid.
White said that Obama isn't comparing himself to Lincoln but that there are some similarities. He said that they are both compelling orators and in attempts to be inclusive - and that Obama sees Lincoln as a model.
Hayward said some of this is media cheerleading and that White made a good point in saying that Lincoln was portrayed as not sympathetic to blacks and minorities. He said that to compare Lincoln to Obama after only three weeks and that they do differ in their regard to the Constitution.
White said that Lincoln didn't move faster on emancipation due to the fact that there were constitutional concerns.
