Michelle Malkin alert: "Library plans to collect sermons for inauguration" from the AP reports that the Library of Congress' American Folklife Center under Dr. David Taylor is complicit in the deification of Barack Obama.
Will Michael Newdow and other champions of keeping God out of politics sue over this project? Will the secularists on the left object?
The "Inauguration 2009 Sermons and Orations Project" marks the first time the library has gathered this sort of material from a U.S. presidential inauguration. Taylor says the project is especially timely — with the inauguration coming a day after the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday — and as it ties into King's reputation as a great orator.
Nearly 70 percent of the 4,000 collections at the center involve the spoken word, whether it's on paper, audio or video.
I saw those stupid collector's plates, that they advertise on TV, for sale near the checkout at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Must not be one of those things "only available if you order now" on the tube.
