Laura Ingraham hosted Michael Medved on his new book The 10 Big Lies About America.
Medved said that the business cycle should take care of recessions, not government spending. Medved said he would rather Obama emulate Lincoln rather than FDR - that FDR was ready to rule as Mussolini and that the war got us out of the Great Depression, not the New Deal.
Medved said that people are spending on lotteries, cigarettes, etc. - even though we are in a recession. Medved said that it is a lie that big business is evil.
Medved said that Americans have been told lies about America. He said that the US didn't start slavery and has taken a lead role in ending it worldwide.
Medved said that the Seattle schools sent out a letter in 2007 that Thanksgiving is a day of mourning for some and shouldn't be celebrated too much.
Medved said he is Jewish and it has been great for Jews as well as others. He said that Jefferson attended services at the Capitol which would be unheard of today.
Medved said that he has supporters in his synagogue in Seattle, despite the city's ultra liberal environment.
Medved said he used to work for Barbra Streisand as a writer - and said her public persona is more obnoxious than her private one.
Medved said that the battle in Gaza with Hamas has lessened the rocket fire and that the lesson for the US is not to deal with terrorists.
