"Gaza complicates Obama policy in the Middle East" from AP reports that President-elect Barack Obama will now get his turn to preach his unity themes in the Middle East as the Hamas rocket attacks on Israel have been responded to with force. In a matter of weeks he will no longer have the fig leaf of "only one administration at a time" to hide behind - the ball will be in his court.
Obama will no doubt disappoint some of his fervant Arab supporters as he calculates his own political fortunes first at home with the pro-Israel forces on the homefront. Hamas, if they thought they would get more support from Obama than Bush or Clinton may be in for a heartbreak.
