Rep. Mike Pence With Laura Ingraham
Laura Ingraham hosted Rep. Mike Pence (R-IN), with a live report from the House floor/scene of the the Republican revolt.
Pence said there were 20 Republicans speaking in the House to a full gallery, despite the House shutdown. He said they want an up or down vote domestic drilling immediately. Pence says that there is a bipartisan majority that would like to vote, but that partisanship by the Democrats is holding things up. He said the press and public galleries are full - and the public is applauding their efforts. He said that citizens on the floor and in the galleries are screaming their approval. He said that there are a number of news organizations who are lobbying Speaker Pelosi to allow photography of what's going on in the House. He said that the Republicans weren't allowed to speak and decided to do so after the gavel fell and have kept at it. He said this is democracy in action, not a GOP revolt - and it is bipartisan. He said that the citizens should call their Congress people, Speaker Pelosi, and the White House to make sure the Congress gets back to work.

Dear Senator McCain,
Time limits a more thoughtful plea from this Republican. I have been a Precinct Committeeman for many years, a County Commissioner and the President of Indiana Coalition for Open Government. . My forbearers, the Washburn brothers, were very involved in forming the Republican Party.
This proposed legislation, no matter how it is sold, is a clear roller coaster to nationalizing our free markets with the failed federal government at its helm. Please support Mike Pence's plan. It is the only one that makes sense if we want to preserve any form of a free market. Most of my Republican friends are in despair that on the economy you can hardly discern any major difference between you and the rest of the liberals. Some refer to the plan, thankfully defeated the other day, as the Five Year Soviet Plan!
Please stand up for the man on the street that is furious about the situation and lack of leadership, with the exception of Mike Pence and those who are supporting his solution to this mess.
Thank You,
