    Polls Coax Pelosi From Hoax Drilling Claim; Is Planet No Longer In Danger?

    "Pelosi indicates openness to offshore drilling" from The Hill reports that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi who had previously claimed that offshore drilling was a "hoax" has now seen the light through the prism of polls and the GOP House rebellion's success - and presidential candidate Barack Obama throwing her under the rig in nuancing his position in the name of compromise.

    In addition, MoveOn.org's ads criticizing John McCain's stance on drilling have dried up in Virginia at least.
