Senator Tom Coburn With Laura Ingraham

Laura Ingraham hosted Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), on the "Advancing America's Priorities Act" and Congress' spending binge.

Coburn said the Congress wants to add programs without getting rid of those that don't work.  He said that the country will have the highest deficit in the nation's history announced today.  He said that there is at least $300-400 billion in wasteful government spending.  He said he came to Washington to keep government small and efficient.  Ingraham enumerated the programs and subsidies that are out of sync with the American people's priorities.  Ingraham noted that 94% of the legislation Democrats brought up was passed without debate or discussion.  He said that the Congress' wasteful spending goes against its oath of office and that it could bankrupt the country.
