Raymond Arroyo With Laura Ingraham
Laura Ingraham hosted Raymond Arroyo of EWTN.
Arroyo said that the move to ordain Anglican bishops has inspired some conservative Anglican prelates are cozying up to the Vatican, causing a schism. Pope Benedict XVI is looking to unite the disparate Christian groups that are close to Catholicism.
Arroyo said there is an extreme element of Islam which is toxic and murderous - and that the government needs to step in - as has happened with the polygamous cults.
Ingraham talked about the new documentary "The Karachi Kids" where Muslim children are being sent to a madrassa in Pakistan where they are oppressed.
Raymond,
I love your program on EWTN, and have your book, Mother Angelica, which is very inspiring-"Little Book of Life Lessons". I've heard you critique TV programs, and am in agreement most of the time. Have you tuned in to Timothy Hutton's new show-"Leverage"? We love it, and I find alot of positive Catholic tradition, though subtle, in almost every program. Hutton has actually pretended to be a priest once or twice. I'd love to hear your review of "leverage". Lastly, and a little disappointedly, I've tuned in to Laura Ingram's radio show and heard you as her guest. As long as you keep to your critiquing and sharing of Catholic values, I love the banter between the 2 of you. But this week, it seems you fell into the negative "angry at everybody" sort of blather that Laura does most of the time now. Please stay above that! Stay Conservative, but in the love of our Lord, not mimicking the radio personalities-I know you're better than that. I hope I have not offended, and would love to hear your response. Linda
