Obama has time for Germans, Not Wounded US Troops In Germany
"Obama visits to US military bases cancelled" from Der Spiegel and Free Republic reports that Senator Barack Obama got a little off schedule - but rather than cutting into his big Berlin speech, he threw the troops whom he hopes to command under the bus - as he has in claiming that the surge wasn't that important in Iraq.
Apparently the Rammstein and Landstuhl US military bases were there were wounded warriors were less important than the adoring German crowds.
"Why Obama snubbed the troops: no photo-op allowed"
- ONLINE has learned that Obama has cancelled a planned short visit to the Rammstein and Landstuhl US military bases in the southwest German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The visits were planned for Friday. "Barack Obama will not be coming to us," a spokesperson for the US military hospital in Landstuhl announced. "I don't know why." Shortly before the same spokeswoman had announced a planned visit by Obama.
Get real. Of course Obama chose to give the speech which the world was waiting to hear.
That no way equates to throwing the wounded troops under the bus.
If the warmongers had listened to Obama before Bush's invasion of Iraq, those wounded warriors would likely be whole and at home with their families.
