"Long prison terms for 2 Border Patrol agents upheld" from the Houston Chronicle reports that the jury decision in the case against Border Agents Ramos and Compean who shot a fleeing illegal alien drug smuggler Oswaldo Aldrete Davila has been upheld, to the outrage of many nationally. The federal prosecutor in the case Johnny Sutton said that the panel's decision validated the "rule of law".
Once again, illegal alien drug smuggling is given a pass over law enforcement - an outrage.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans upheld most of the convictions against former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, including the use of a firearm to commit a violent crime. The gun charge carries a mandatory 10-year sentence.
