Howard Wolfson and Ingraham discussed the Obama trip with Ingraham raising issues about Obama speaking negatively about America in his Berlin speech and also noting how Obama had time to work out at the Ritz but couldn't visit wounded troops at Landstuhl despite the Pentagon's memo saying he could do so as long as the visit wasn't politicized.
Larry Sabato, political science professor at University of Virginia, spoke to Ingraham about the state of the presidential race and how close it is, despite the damaged GOP brand and the media hype over Barack Obama. Sabato said that McCain should do some dramatic things such as pick his VP earlier.
Nancy Pfotenhauer and Ingraham followed up discussing the status of the McCain campaign. Pfotenhauer noted that McCain was standing up for lower taxes, less spending, energy independence here in America and that the campaign was close in the polls to the Obama campaign.
Ingraham spoke with Brian Levin about alleged hate crimes being incited against Latinos due to heated anti-immigrant rhetoric. She noted that the Supreme Court comes down on the side of free speech and that crimes against Latinos actually have dropped slightly. Levin said that hate crimes against Latinos are among the highest in the nation, but he didn't disagree with Ingraham's point about people of good faith having disagreements on immigration policy.
Hussein Ibish talked to Ingraham about two Muslim women suing McDonald's over their right to wear a hijab to work. Ingraham and Ibish discussed the parameters of what constituted appropriate regulations and expectations of employers vis-a-vis employees appearance versus their religious garb.
