Obama Goes To NBC Comfort Zone On "Meet The Press"
Senator Barack Obama appeared on "Meet The Press" with Tim Russert on May 4th to try and put away Senator Hillary Clinton with some free air time - and in a comfortable venue as MSNBC and NBC have been fairly ardently and openly supporting Obama.
Russert opened with quite series of questions about the Reverend Wright imbroglio - and with Obama again responding, this time not throwing around some condescending remarks about not answering questions. He did open himself up by his warm support for the new pastor at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, Reverend Otis Moss, who subscribes to and defends many of Reverend Wright's principles and is known as the "hip-hop" minister.
Russert queried Obama later about energy and the summer gas tax, on Iran and other foreign policy matters as well as the economy. He didn't ask if Obama subscribes to Reverend Wright's rather racist education views which seem to divide children by race on learning styles rather than as individuals. Russert also, as most of the pundits, failed to probe his lack of military experience or why he felt he was qualified to be commander in chief but never felt compelled to serve his country.
