    Lewis Alsari With Laura Ingraham

Laura Ingraham hosted Lewis Alsamari, author of Escape from Saddam.

Alsari said that the wheels really came off in Iraq when Saddam went into Kuwait - and that he got more and more vicious.  At first people had pride during the Iran-Iraq war to serve in the military, but as Saddam got power hungry, people got disgusted - and Saddam would engage in torture and executions - ruling by fear.

Alsari escaped under very dangerous circumstances and he would have never survived without the help of so many people.  His family was sent to Abu Ghraib prison.  He played the lead hijacker in "United 93".
