Hillary: Grunt or Jarhead?

"Bill Clinton says Hillary tried to join the Army" from Political Punch notes that President Bill Clinton tried to buoy up his wife's military cred by claiming that she tried to join the Army - but was turned away due to her bad eyesight.

"I remember when we were young, right out of law school, she went down and tried to join the Army and they said 'Your eyes are so bad, nobody will take you,'" he said, after heralding her record on issues of concern to the military, such as body armor and access to health care.

However, Hillary told the same story - except she said she tried to join the Marines, having told the story as First Lady of Arkansas.
