Duncan Hunter took on the undemocratic, hyper -elite media who kept him and Congressman Ron Paul out of both the ABC GOP debate on Saturday, January 5th and Fox News' January 6th GOP Forum. Michelle Malkin reports that CNN had the announcement that Hunter would stay in the race - and he excoriated the execs as "knuckleheads" who kept him out of the two events - even though he won a delegate in the Wyoming caucus.
Once again the elite media has trashed deomcracy to be the unfair and unbalanced judges of what an electorate, the vast majority of whom haven't been to the polls yet should see and hear. American Idol, Dancing with the Stars and other such shows operate on a more sophisticated and democratic manner, allowing the whole country to participate instead of a unrepresentative group not chosen by the rest of the country. Our founders didn't have this in mind - is it little wonder that people aren't interested in elections - they aren't allowed to participate.
The Iraqis were somehow allowed to pour over several pages of candidates for their elections - and yet the American political and media elite gatekeepers have less democratic ideas. Rep. Hunter has been a leader on immigration, and has stood for all three legs of the vaunted GOP stool - and has been rewarded with being deemed "unelectable" or "not viable" by the self-appointed hoi polloi. This needs to stop - and if these media outlets can't handle a bigger grouping, they should get into a new line of work.
very interesting.
