Laura Ingraham hosted Jim Angle of Fox News.
Angle said that there is some investigation into the CIA tapes that were destroyed but the interrogation methods were shared with the Intelligence Committee. Speaker Pelosi didn't raise any objections and Jane Harman had serious questions. He said that Congress also knew how much was gained by these techniques from various al-Qaeda detainees. Angle noted that this all happened right after September 11th and there were only three who were allegedly waterboarded.
Angle said that China's economy is booming and that they have a lot of coal resources. However, their air is terribly polluted - and even if the US reduces its emissions, China and India would still overtake the US as far as pollution in the atmosphere. The fact that China got recognition at the recent Bali conference is a joke. Angle said that the Congress worked out a 40% raise by 2020 in the CAFE standards and it looked like it was ready to be passed - when Pelosi added in some other provisions that would sink the bill in the House if not the Senate. Angle said that all this sashaying back and forth has wasted the Congress's time a great deal when there is much to be done. Angle said that when a majority gets in power, they overplay their hands and aren't able to accomplish all the big agendas they promote.
