Laura Ingraham, host of the popular nationally syndicated radio show of the same name and author of the NY Times bestseller Power to the People, has wrapped up a week subbing for Bill O'Reilly on "The Factor" with a superb performance on November 20th with sizzling coverage and ratings to back her up during a holiday week.
Ingraham interviewed an obnoxious representative from The World Can't Wait - Drive Out The Bush Regime! concerning the intimidating tactics being employed by far left campus protesters - those who are always cawing about diversity and freedom of thought and expression. A visit to the group's website drew a blank page, which seemed to sum up the arguments of this rep - see HotAir Video.
Ingraham also interviewed the wife of presidential candidate Fred Thompson, Jeri Thompson about the status of her husband's race and accusations that he is not engaged enough in the campaign. Thompson noted that her husband is high in the ratings in many polls and that contrary to popular mythology, her husband is very hard working and involved in this race as he has been all his life in all he does. Ingraham then went to the Democratic side to discuss the tightening Democratic primary race between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama with A.B. Stoddard of The Hill and former Clinton operative Lanny Davis.
Ingraham also touched on the sad case of a young girl who hung herself as a result of an Internet hoax cruelly perpetrated by a mother and her son. She discussed the case with fellow lawyers and Fox News contributors Megyn Kelly and Lis Wiehl. They also discussed the case of a woman left by her miscreant husband, a lottery winner who took off with winnings while leaving her in the lurch.
Ingraham delivered an powerful talking points memo and then interviewed a wounded heroes asked to give back bonus money to the military for the time he didn't serve - due to serious injuries. Ingraham implored the White House to do something about this quickly and spare the troops a hassle and to show the proper appreciation for their heroic efforts.
Ingraham has proven to be a very intelligent analyst who engages guests and takes no prisoners when they begin to spin - and advocates with facts and passion for those who are being beaten down by the system. She has been a real asset to the Fox News network and certainly has earned her dubbing by O'Reilly as the "Czarina of Talk Radio".
