"Giuliani billed obscure agencies for trips" from the Politico reports that records obtained by the Politico under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) suggest that while he was mayor, that Giuliani billed the taxpayers for thousands of dollars for trips to the Hamptons - possibly to visit with then mistress Judith Nathan, now his wife. Giuliani said that he had round the clock security protection due to his high profile job - and that he didn't handle the details of the arrangements.
The documents, obtained by Politico under New York’s Freedom of Information Law, show that the mayoral costs had nothing to do with the functions of the little-known city offices that defrayed his tabs, including agencies responsible for regulating loft apartments, aiding the disabled and providing lawyers for indigent defendants.
