Obama Wants To Be US Prez, But Not To Wear A Flag Pin - Doesn't He Think He Is Acting As A Patriot?

"Obama stops wearing flag pin" from AP reports that Senator Barack Obama - who wants to be president of the United States, has stopped wearing a flag pin - apparently it's not the thing to do any more - as Mr. Obama has become arbiter of who is acting patriotic - and says that some wearing the pin weren't acting patriotic.

People also wear crosses - and may or not act as a Christian, but at least they may aspire to the Christian values.  Why would one remove a flag pin - doesn't Obama think he is acting as a patriot?

Noting the TV interview, he told the campaign crowd, "I said, you know what, I probably haven't worn a flag pin in a very long time. After a while I noticed people wearing a lapel pin and not acting very patriotic."

"My attitude is that I'm less concerned about what you're wearing on your lapel than what's in your heart. You show your patriotism by how you treat your fellow Americans, especially those who serve. You show your patriotism by being true to our values and ideals. That's what we have to lead with is our values and our ideals."
