"Bush bashes the Dems" at Hardball pitted talk radio host Laura Ingraham versus Chris Matthews with Chuck Todd seemingly a semi-interested onlooker. Perhaps looking to pander to the left-wing audience of Hardball who probably felt Matthews pandered too much when he hosted Ingraham for her new New York Times bestseller, Power To The People, Matthews tried to come on strong - but took some fast hits from Ingraham who was prepared to go full bore. Matthews tried to bring up the dithering Alan Greenspan and his one liner about the Iraq war being all about oil - and everyone knew it - from which he has tried to clarify his remarks. Ingraham batted that one around and asserted that Hillary Clinton clearly will be the nominee and that Bush is correct in keying to her agenda.
Incidentally, it would seem that given that Newsweek, part of the MSNBC family, ran a cover story endorsement for Clinton with its piece "How would she govern?" by Jonathan Darman - practically a campaign contribution if there ever was one.
