John Paul Jones Of The 21st Century?

"John McCain: 'I have not yet begun to fight" by Jim Geraghty of National Review discusses a recent letter sent by Senator John McCain to supporters in key states and analyzes it point by point on issues foreign and domestic.  He reflects the common view that McCain's candidacy is possible but not probable now - and offers some good reflections that the campaign should consider.  He compares his campaign theme to that of the man to be buried at Annapolis who was the father of our navy, essentially, John Paul Jones, "I have not yet begun to fight."  These are words that McCain reminds our nation of as he speaks passionately about the cause of defeating Islamic fundamentalism - and he should stay in this race to keep the field honest on this and a number of other issues when they may think it is time to dissemble or offer vague bromides.
