    Idaho "Statesman" Political Future Isn't Clouded - It's Stark

    "Arrest Clouds Idaho Senator's Future" from the AP reports that Senator Larry Craig, who is up for re-election next year, has an uncertain political future.

    That is probably an understatement - and it is probably certain that, barring a miracle, his political future is toast - especially given his conservative values stances on gay issues and his apparent denial and/or blithely cavalier attitude the effects of his actions would have on his family and reputation. 

    "Another Bad Morning for Craig" from The Crypt (Politico) notes that this won't die down easily in late August - but this one seems ripe any time - and may even tamp down the Alberto Gonzales resignation if more salcious accusations appear.
