Dems Want To Cut Protections For People Reporting Suspicious Behavior

"Democrats want 'John Doe' provision cut" from the Washington Times reports that the Democrats would like to cut a provision from a homeland security bill that would protect people from being sued who report suspicious behavior, such as on airlines, etc..

Rep. Peter King of New York is one of the sponsors of the bill as recommendations from the 9/11 commission are being gone through...

“This is a slap in the face of good citizens who do their patriotic duty and come forward, and it caves in to radical Islamists,” Mr. King said.

“I don't see how you can have a homeland security bill without protecting people who come forward to report suspicious activity,” Mr. King said.
