    Christian Fantasy To Succeed Harry Potter? Can Lightning Strike Twice?

    "Christian Fantasy Genre Builds Niche Without Hogwarts, Muggles or Spells" from the Washington Post reports on the surge in Christian fantasy novels that are poised to fill in the gap now that the Harry Potter series will make its final bow on Saturday.  The series have also been in response to some Christian parents' unease with the magic themes, witchcraft, etc..  This parallels the success of such novels as the "Left Behind" series and other Christian media fare. 

    No doubt for the publishing houses, they are hoping lightning strikes twice - rather than a big commitment to Christian themed media...
