Dem Debate: Obama Wins; Blitzer Loses

The Democrats gave a preview of an expensive future with their many programs - but then, we have had that with the GOP...

According to Matt Drudge, Senator Obama had the most time and questions - and probably the best moment when he slapped down John Edwards on the Iraq war leadership question after Edwards' self-righteous pronouncements about being first to condemn the war.  Obama calmly told him he was four and a half years late - and of course, Edwards admitted loudly early on that he had made a mistake on the war.  The moment seemed to juice up Obama who jumped in more often.

Big loser was Wolf Blitzer.  He gave one of the scenario questions in which Osama bin Laden could be targeted in 20 minutes with collateral damage - what would the candidates do?  Clinton argued on that and some other questions saying she wouldn't answer them - and Blitzer actually let her edit the question - and that got pulled on whether to intervene in Darfur.

Biden has learned to temper his motor mouth  more - but Richardson hasn't and was a huge suck up to Senator Clinton.  Dodd and Biden are stronger Democrat candidates than Edwards, Clinton and Obama, although Obama is still the smoothest.
