AP's "Brown Becomes New British Prime Minister" reports on the quiet transition from the decade long tenure of Tony Blair as prime minister to the Laddie in Waiting, Gordon Brown, previously the Treasury Secretary of the Exchequer.  He has promised new priorities - and probably like Al Gore following the charismatic Bill Clinton, the stern Brown will have to shake off the unpopularity of the Iraq war, some scandals and continue the economic prosperity Britain has enjoyed as he begins his time as Labour Party leader and prime minister.
