"Does Bill Help Or Hurt Hillary?" from Newsweek delves into the $64,000 question - especially since she has had to go to the bench due to the threat of Senator Barack Obama - potentially former VP Al Gore, based on articles in the New York Times (""Al Gore's Big Plans" ") - a preview of the TIME magazine cover - or NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who is thought ot be a greater threat to the Democrats should he choose a run with the Independent Party.
Perhaps a little item from May 20th's Page Six (Bill Brightens Energy Climate) sums up the Bill problem succintly:
- BILL Clinton got a big laugh at the end of his C40 Large Cities Climate Summit press conference at the Hilton Wednesday when he called on a woman reporter wearing a black shirt with pink lettering. "We are trying to read your shirt," admitted the former president, standing next to Mayor Bloomberg. "You can tell I'm not running for anything, or I would never have said that." The shirt read: "Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go to New York." A spokesman for Clinton said, "My boss announced he was going to make thousands of buildings around the world more energy-efficient, and all we got was this lousy T-shirt story."
This is what the campaign has to fear: Senator Clinton's message being overshadowed by this sort of remark/reminder of potential coming attractions - literally and figuratively...
