Rays Of Hope In Baghdad With Fewer Attacks

"Attacks in Baghdad down 80%" by Mohammed at Iraq The Model is being reported by someone who actually has lived in the city, driven around and has documented the war from its inception - not someone with an agenda in the MSM.

While Mohammed says that some of this is probably due to the militants laying low and their leaders skipping town, he also believes that people are feeling safer and some families are even returning.  He also noted that there are public works projects to clear up around the city - rather like NYC Mayor Giuliani's broken window philosophy, it seems.  He also said the authorities are moving checkpoints frequently, no doubt to trip up terrorists and are even going to open bridges on the Tigris that have been closed to help with the increased traffic.

Mohammed says it is too early to celebrate - but any good news or change in the direction of violence and chaos is a cause for hope.

    More kudos for Mohammed's piece
