TIME Celebrates Power To The People!

The AP reports that TIME magazine is honoring the Persons of the Year - the citizens who, particularly on the Internet, have driven power away from the traditional institutions by blogging, YouTube, online communities, smart phones with video cams to the point where the MSM seeks out content from citizens to include in their newscasts, making the news much more interactive and less top down.

TIME did name 25 significant people who affected the world this year - but those people - such as President Bush and the GOP, weren't able to sway the elections this November due to not adhering to party guiding principles - and many politicians, entertainers and institutions have had to pull back on any number of issues such as the backlash against politically correct holiday celebrations.  It also looks like Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is getting a rebuff as his deposed foe, former President Rafsanjani, looks to be elected to the powerful Assembly of Experts.

As Laura Ingraham always says, Power to the People!!!

    Michelle Malkin weighs in...
