Matt Drudge links to a Rush Limbaugh transcript in which he says he now feels liberated from his allegedly carrying water for the GOP.
What a crock! There is no one who enjoyed his status as presidential FOG - Friend of George - than Limbaugh. He has disagreed at times with the White House on such issues as the nomination of Harriet Miers and illegal immigration. He hardly has been silenced by the administration - and both sides have used each other liberally.
In fact, Limbaugh will have a lot more targets and material now with the Democrats in power - and should also look to himself as far as helping the Democrats win the Senate seat in Missouri.
And if the war in Iraq draws down, Rush won't have to make a trip over to visit the troops who are faithful to him - but whom he hasn't had the time or interest in visiting...

I agree with all you wrote BUT I also feel somewhat relieved. Now all the bitching and complaining will have to stop and the Dem's will have to find solutions. I think they will not, they'll appoint activist judges, piss people off, and, hopefully, lose in '08.
