Does Lynne Cheney Let The Grandkids Watch Imus?
Senator George Allen's release to the Drudge Report of passages from Jim Webb's steamy novels was yesterday's media scandal - and Lynne Cheney who is cool enough to write some pretty saucy novels herself told Wolf Blitzer that she couldn't abide the passages that Don Imus read on his show.
If anyone has listened to Don Imus' show, the content is not far off from what Jim Webb has published in his books - albeit hilariously framed and totally politically incorrect. Of course, the Cheneys, Senator Allen himself and Mary Matalin, Cheney and Allen adviser, have all appeared on Imus and apparently aren't too proud to stoop low and join in the frivolities.
Senator Allen's shock is shocking in itself - what kind of sissy boys were the UVA Cavaliers - were they the kind of Cavaliers with long curly locks? And what about those NFL locker roooms. Seeing how we have GOP jock senators such as Jim Bunting and of course groping Governor Arnold Schwartzenegger, the whole situation is pretty hypocritical turn - like the fuss over Allen's blunders and the left's shock over Mark Foley when they enabled and applauded Gerry Studds and Barney Frank. Of course, such sissy boy crybabies as Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity who never served, never went to Iraq to visit the troops as Laura Ingraham did, wouldn't know the ugliness of war.
Bottom line: Webb was dumb not to alert the prissy electorate early on about the adult content of his books so that those stricken with the vapors by what happens during war and in the notorious sex shops of Bangkok where perv John Mark Karr lived, where children and women are routinely horribly abused catering to such perverts and the media kept talking about - as dumb as George Allen's macaca remarks. And of course, neither man had any scruples about the character of one another when Webb was endorsing Allen before Webb changed parties and decided to run against Allen.
And one has to presume that Lynne Cheney and Mary Matalin aren't watching Don Imus when the children and grandchildren are around - or reading Scooter Libby's steamy fiction. This campaign has been characterized by one dumb blunder after another by these candidates and a paucity of issue discussion. It should guarantee higher office for both of them.
Michelle Malkin reviews the phony left wing shock over Lynne Cheney and Scooter Libby's tomes... as if Hollywood never read or produced anything of this nature...
