Kerry Says If He Were President Mideast Crisis Wouldn't Have Happened; But What Else Would Have Happened?

Matt Drudge links to a report in the Detroit News where Senator John Kerry says the Middle East crisis wouldn't have happened had he been elected president.

He criticized President Bush's concentration on the war in Iraq to the detriment of diplomatic solutions in the rest of the Middle East.

The thing is, what else may have happened in a Kerry administration?  This will probably be a recurring theme for Senator Kerry as he seeks another run at the White House - and depending on how events play out, it could be a strategy of limited value if he doesn't provide a forward looking agenda - people want to know how to get out of crises now, not how they could have been avoided yesterday.
