Michelle Malkin in her latest Hot Air Vent on "Teachers Gone Wild" reports on academic psychos Deb Frisch formerly of University of Arizona and now heading to the Northwest - maybe Twin Peaks territory and University of Wisconsin's Kevin Barrett who is teaching a course on Islamic Science Fiction, it seems.
Frisch was involved in sending over the edge comments to conservative blogger Jeff Goldstein, to the point of publishing threats against his children. Prof Barrett is one of the hypocritical 9/11 conspiracy theorists who on one hand sees the Bush administration as totally incompetent and on the other as omnipotent in being the puppet masters who conceived and carried off the September 11th attacks. (One would think there would be a lot easier ways with the US military arsenal, to reach their goals without the intricacies of this sort of bizarre plot line if they in fact were interested in some sort of takeover of the Islamic world),
What is distressing is that both these kooks are involved in higher education at some of our primetime universities - not some course off a match book cover or online site. It does prove that our campuses are diverse enough to include the totally beserk on their faculties.
Sounds like the sex, drugs and rock and roll after effects have settled into their neural networks...
