They are demanding the return of Israel's soldiers.
Malkin notes that Chancellor Angela Merkel made her statement with priorities in order - she's lived through East German communism, the Stasi and played hardball with Gerhard Schroeder and other German politicians to shove her way up the food chain from way back in the day - Ahmadinejad isn't going to make her quake. Malkin also noted, somewhat surprised, that Senator John McCain came out strongly for Israel, asking why they should be the ones exercising restraint when they are the ones being continually picked on by their neighbors. First, McCain isn't afraid to take an unpopular stand and stick with it, he has the authority to do so based on his record, unlike most politicians - and this is a great political move - he can count on pro-Israel cash as well as approval from Christian conservatives who are lining up on Israel's side - while the liberal left wingers will be the ones mewling about the rights of aggressors and giving diplomacy a thousand more chances...
