Dateline Moving From Excellent Investigative Reporting to Reality Candid Camera Stunts

Michelle Malkin reports that NBC is looking to revive Candid Camera to create the news rather than report it.  A reader forwarded an e-mail that said that Dateline is looking for accomplished Muslim men to strategically place in social settings to tape the reaction of those in attendance.  Of course, the settings may somehow just be chosen in hopes of eliciting a politically incorrect reaction...  What a surprise!

Dateline has done some excellent work in setting up sexual predators of young people to great effect - nabbing real perverts.  This somehow seems to be an effort to create a situation rather than uncover one as they did with the predators who had clearly advertised their willingness to meet up with underage youngsters for illegal purposes - clearly a disappointment when there are so many really bad situations out there to be unmasked with good investigative journalism...
