Why Not Protest Civil Rights Abuses in Central America Where the Real Problems Are?

Michelle Malkin's headline post on Wednesday discusses protesting illegal students abusing the American flag.  But why aren't the protests taking place in Central America where the poverty, lack of opportunities and abuse are rampant and force so many to risk life and limb to come here?  Why are they not abusing the Mexican flag or demanding of President Vicente Fox to improve the economy and conditions.  How about a little light being shown there?  How about taking buses down there for a field trip to see how things are and protesting those abysmal conditions?
