New S. Dakota Obstructionist Sings Old I-ThUNE - BrickBRACs to Bush

Bolton as BRAC Payback" has a silver lining - we won't be hearing GOP
flacks crowing that what happened to the former obstructionist Minority Leader
Tom Daschle can happen to them - as Senator John Thune handed the Dems another
talking point that we will, unfortunately, hear a lot about in their ad campaigns.
This will be a road map for other GOP-ers who have a beef with the Commander-in-Chief
and are ready to deal.
It will be a choice between Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota being
closed or UN Ambassador nominee John Bolton being closed out - and given that
Mr. Bolton is not a slam dunk and whose position will do little for South Dakota,
the choice for Thune seems to show that he has the stuff to be a Majority Leader
and quick study insider when Frist's term is up. Look for the 21st century bases
to suddenly become but one of many bargaining chips in burnishing the Bush legacy.
I hate obstructionists. It is like Thune is supporting the terrorists or something.
